GUILT AND DISEASE
1.31.1960
Yada: My honorable friends, it is with great pleasure for me to come here this evening. I have been standing here and listening what my helper says about ghosts and spooks. Here I am in the 20th Century where ghosts are not suppose to be. These - what appears to be spooks - is, ‘but an imagination of the medium's mind.'
And in many cases it is. This kind of activity is showing that this person called a medium is a schizophrenic. How do you like that? You Americans call it a nut. I like your colloquial expression. They go right to the point. Perhaps it is so, but not only with mediums. The greater part of human kind, the greater part, is schizophrenic.
Audience: We can all walk together then.
Yada: Is so. The truth is, my friends, you could not stay in the physical world and stay sane. You cannot only be two people, you have to be many. This is the demand made upon the individual. So what is your personality? Is there such a thing, such a state as a personality? No! Being that individuals consist of a composite of experiences, each one of these experiences built a different personality. Personality. Persona. Mask Wearer. From the time you get up from your bed, until you get back into it, it is a constant work of changing masks. So that no one else knows who you are and we ourselves do not know. Very complex, huh! I say, be happy about it and enjoy your schizophrenic condition. At least enjoying it you can escape much of the pain, the pain of living.
We try to talk to ourselves into the belief that living is a great joy. But few of us can be consistent about it. And this is natural and not unnatural as so many suspect. We are always expecting something better than we have. It is all right to expect it, but when we don't get it - forget it. Don't fret about it. Wait - you will have another chance if you live long enough. If you don't - still don't worry about it, because you will have another chance to come back and go through the ratrace all over again. This should cheer you up. (Laughter)
My friends, it is, of course, impossible for you sitting here to know what I am. Not a ‘who', because I am not a ‘who' and neither are you. You are a ‘what'. See, you cannot be a ‘who'. We try to be a ‘who' by having a name and we think this name is making us a ‘who.' But if we study the body we can see that the body cannot be a ‘who' anymore than can be the same name. Many people have it, how can all these people be the same person?
Now you are looking at the body. Of course we cannot always be looking at the body. We get in such a mess by the way we live. So we try not to look at it too much. But let us look at it now. Let us be brave because we want to learn something. The body! What is its nature? We see the surface called ‘the skin.' So many of us would look good skinned.
Audience: Peeled like a banana.
Yada: But we don't look for beauty. We try to look beneath the surface of the skin, beyond the blood, the bones. The whole body is what is called ‘a tissue machine.' Very interesting but not very informative. So we go deeper and we see what is called ‘chemistry.' We, the body is a chemical body. But let us look beyond the chemicals to what is called the atom, and surely this should be the ultimate. But it is not. We find these so called bodies invisible to the eye. We find out what the atom is. We try this by pulling it apart. Never happy to leave it alone. He is like a child, give him a toy. He does not play with it. He only wants to see how it is made. So we pull the atom apart and pretty soon it has vanished entirely. It has gone beyond the human ability, either with instrument or brain, and lost further contact with it.
It has entered another dimension. I call this dimension Mind. I also call it Time. It is going beyond time. Time is a state, singular where matter does not exist as matter.
Man has full control over his body. Full control! But he has not been taught this. This is the curse of man. He has not bee taught himself the truth. He let himself be hypnotized into falsehood about himself.
The first approach in teaching another falsehood is creating fear we live in. Not knowing from whence I have come set up the first fear within us. We cannot know what to do in this strange land called the physical world. We do not know what we are here for. That follows that we do not know where we are going from here.
My friends, this is not necessary. You can know! You have been taught that you are not suppose to know. Your destiny is in the hands of a Being called God. Now, because you have been taught to be afraid of that, this means you must be afraid to know anything about yourself. Because if you did, you would then believe that God does not have any control over you. And you would not want that. You have been told that God ‘made you', and He must know where you come from and where you are going from here. So you leave it to Him, but don't do anything about yourself. We are afraid because we have been told, we are putting our souls in jeopardy if we question what the priestly system calls ‘God.'
As I said earlier, you cannot know anything about me. You do not know whether I exist or not. There have been many things said about me, not just that I am a spook. This is a small thing. I have been suspected of being or not being The psychologists know, perhaps from their studies that there is no such thing as a spook. There is only something which is called ‘the unconscious self,' which in some manner or other - has split. And they should know how they have been split. Being a human being, he is also split.
If you take my word that I am a spook, you make a big mistake. It is nice for you to listen, but do not be so sure. Do not rest on your beliefs about them. Inquire, dig into life to know the truth whether it is about someone called Yada or God. It makes not difference, you want the truth from the highest to the lowest. For I say to you - though you need not accept this, that you do not die. Your body, being made up of chemical substance, in time, breaks down and becomes to its component part. Everyone does this. You live in an existence that is possible only by the law of change.
If you truly knew yourself, you should not be concerned about that which is called death.
Were you concerned about coming here? Oh, no, you will say, because I have no memory of where I come from or that I existed before coming here. Then how do you know whether you are concerned about it or not? How do you know? Can you truthfully say that you did not exist before taking form? Your biologists tell you: "Of course you did not exist before. You are a biological product." The philosopher will say: "You were born of love." The materialist will say: "You were born of passion and you are chemical only." Is tiring? Is wearing on us. I only say to you, do you know truth to any of these things?
My only purpose for coming into the world again, to communicate with man again in the flesh is with the hope that our words will cause those who have not been thinking - to think and not be afraid to think, not afraid to create new thoughts of their own. For this is what thinking is. The greater majority of man does not think. Thinking is creating new ideas.
To think! The human consciousness has spent eons of time walking its way up in the physical world from a minute nothingness in chemical substance called the ameba what you now see - the human-like body. It is difficult to say whether this is great progress, especially when they think so little. When even the ameba thinks more than that. But think of this, my friends, from a little fermentation, irradiated by the sun, you have become this most complex, most advanced physical form. Everything about your body is amazing, is astounding. You are a wonder beyond dreams! Look at your eyes. What a complexity of nervous system there. This was made without what you call a blueprint to go by. Each and every organ in the body is different, but all are functioning in harmonious accord. And if any of them go out of accord with the rest, there is danger that sooner or later all go out too.
Coming into your earth in these times is what you call ‘space people.' Little by little everyone becomes fascinated with these beings. But not many know the truth about them. These beings help to create chaos in your thinking, knowing what it would lead to sooner or later. What does it lead to? Adoration, Down with the nose and bottoms in the air: "Great space bings, you bring us more religion." As I have said before, what man does not understand he wither wants to bottom it - or kill it. There is no greater being than you. Believing that there is causes the priestly system to force you to build vast temples with your money and your beliefs in the supernatural.
You know, many people stay away from coming to listen to me talk because they believe in the supernatural and it frightens them. And they do not like to be frightened. I d not understand this because just living is enough to frighten anyone.
My friends, I do not come to oppose anything you believe. I can tell you only certain conditions that do exist. And if you study these for yourself, you will find that what I am saying is true. In learning this, no more will you be afraid of anything.
If man would only be concerned about man, adoring man, loving and understanding himself, Gods would take care of themselves.
Indeed Gods would be happy. They themselves would be free. Free from listening to human voices shouting of this or that and other things.
You are the creator. When you pray - pray to your own higher consciousness. Do not necessarily ask for something - but more light, for more understanding. And with more understanding you will get what you want. It is that simple.
Question: What makes it so hard, Yada?
Yada: Is so. My friends, I say to you, I have had 500,000 years of conscious awareness or simply ‘self-awareness' mean this: In my civilization, the one in which I first became consciously aware, it was called Yuga, meaning vast body. I lived in a city called Kaote, meaning city of temples, and there were 33 temples in my city alone. I was taken from my parents shortly after the weaning period - taken to the temples. For the first seven years, I was watched over, but not trained. I was left as I pleased, for the first seven years. The reason for this was so I could develop what I brought in to the world before something was added. So I - Consciousness - could adjust myself, balance myself in the world into which I had come. After seven years the training began. I learned fear and how to conquer fear and what fear is.
Irene Probert: Is fear your own concept of what you don't understand?
Yada: Is so. We build within ourselves thought concepts of what is going on out here. Our reaction - without being trained of what is going on out here is what hurts us, not the experience. Our response and reaction to this experience is what hurts us. People are afraid to have certain experiences that can hurt them. There is nothing in the experience that can hurt, or do us even good. It is simply our attitude that brings us harm or so-called good.
Irene: People look at an experience in a different way. Some say it was wonderful and the other will say- this was not so good. We all have our own attitude.
Yada: We all have different responses of what happens to us. I say this: Be alert! Be aware! Know what you are doing, where you are and what is happening out here. Know its nature before you become frightened about it. And you will not be frightened, if you know what you are doing. This is where our fear comes from, my friends. Every experience is a new experience and is there for an unknown quality. There is an element of unknownness about it. And if we are not alert, it is likely to sow many seeds of fear and uncertainty within us.
Why do you suppose so many, a vast horde of humans become slaughtered on your highways and byways? Because you are not with your machines when you are in your machines. (Autos) Only your body is there. You - are someplace else. Because you have been taught that you are a body, and it is all right to put your body into a car and let it go. My friends, the body is a machine and it is just as much a zombie as the car it pushes. It is your consciousness that is driving the machine. And if you let the true driver - the consciousness - break up into little pieces traveling all over, looking for pleasure or trouble, you may not be able to go back and still find your body alive. This is what kills. The mind naturally walks in scattered pieces. It goes flying in all directions.
Listen to some of the problems, my friends. You have what is called ‘bills.' I think you are familiar with the word. Then you have children which you worry about. Few parents are satisfied in worrying about the child's immediate needs. They go 21 years into the future and worry whether they can send the child to the big university. Since the parents never had a university education, they want to give this to the child. What for? You get along without it. Should the child have something better? Well, yes, but not so much better that you have to kill yourself worrying over it. By making the child an orphan before it is many years old. So it goes through your mind: What about my bills, bills, bills, what about my child, what about my daughter, what about my wife, how am I going to make money? And here you are in the car. Pretty soon your eyes begin to get glassy, because there is no brain activity. You think I have this man (Mark) in a trance: Think of the trance you are in when you drive. This is trancing, my friends, So do not think you are watching something different and phenomenon now, when so many people doing it all day long.
There is a way of stopping all the killings on highways. Teach people to stay in their bodies. Stop wandering about with skin on. That is all right for ghosts to do. And you are making yourself ghost if you don't.
I talked to a man on the picturebox called television and he called me a spirit. I say to him: Sir, I am not a spirit any more than you are. Only difference between myself and you is that you have your skin on. And this is so. If you want to live with skin on - stay awake in your machines.
Here today, you have a big problem with masses of people coming to earth. It is called overpopulation. The world has always been overpopulated by lack of thinking. Do you suppose that assimilating the information about birth control and how to practice it to people all over the world, that this is going to do something? It is only going to do something if people want to do something about it. How many of us think of others? Even those that are in the act of making love to another is thinking about themselves and their own satisfaction. This means we are not awake. We are not conscious. Then we go around complaining that we do not get enough pleasure. How can we, if we are not with what we are doing?
You cannot solve this problem about birth control teaching people how to bring more people into the world. You have to teach people to understand themselves in reference to the world they are in. Teach them what understanding is. What love is.
For Love is Understanding.
Teach them to understand their own nature first, the value of their mind and body.
Irene: To honor themselves.
Yada: Yes. It is. Honor is the word. Thank you.
Irene: When you honor yourself you do nothing to dishonor others.
Yada: Is so. Two nights ago I was saying that we should - literally speaking - do what we desire if we want to live a balanced life. A man in the group said it would give license for the individual to do about anything he would like, regardless of hurting somebody else. My, friends, I do not say this. I say that if you are thinking, you will not do anything to bring unbalance to another. You would know, it would be better to bring it upon yourself because you could comprehend it and get yourself back into balance, rather than causing somebody else suffering who would not know what else to do.
When we know, and we know we know - then we must not fear and do not haunt anybody else, even unconsciously, because you would not be living unconsciously. We would live consciously and therefore we could express as we felt necessary. We would know when and where and not to act out of our feelings.
In your kind of social system the laws are created for the masses, the greater number. And as it is to be expected, it gives little leeway to the individual to truly express his feelings, his life, his desires. This causes a smothering to the individual. Now unless he learns how to master his emotions he will be frustrated and end up in a mental hospital.
To know yourself - it is so important. How can you do this? Some people can go only so far and they need help from someone else. And when it is mental trouble, you need men and women who are - what you call - mental doctors. To go to a priest of religion gives you nothing unless the priest is a psychologist or a mental doctor.
Irene: There is a feeling of piousness when you appear in front of these doctors.
Yada: I am not concerned about that. I know what you are saying. It is the piousness that people feel. They don't feel pious on the surface but underneath. This is what makes it pious on the surface. And so they are making a kind of outward holiness and piousness. I am not thinking of the priests but the people who go to the priests. They are going to him because they are hoping that he will talk to God and intercede. You call this ‘the go-between-man'. He will talk to God and will say about the man or woman: He or she has sinned. Well, when the person hears this, that she or he has sinned, he feels worse than before. It gives him a sense of shame. It adds to their guilt and shame, the word ‘sin.'
If we keep this up, my friends, pointing the finger at one another, ‘you sinners, you sinned,' pretty soon we feel from six feet tall to one foot tall. Sin, sin, sin, the personality cringes and gets smaller and smaller and wishes it could disappear. "You have sinned".
Man has never sinned. He has lived. That's what he came here for, to live, and express and to do. And unless you do, you die. That's doing. If you do not act out yourself - express yourself - you die. Perhaps not physically right away, but you may just as well.
Irene: It brings an ailment that eventually gets you.
Yada: Of course. 99% of all ailments in the body or accidents start in the mind. They are not accidents. They are not physical ailments. Generally they are psychic or mental ailments. If the psyche or mental self has continues strain and pressure in its desire to act out its feelings, it dies. But before it dies, it itself attacks the body-self, either in a disease or slowly forces the body in a position that causes what is called - an accident. You see, the psyche does not want the person to know that it is murdering the body-self. So it creates within that person the word ‘accident' to excuse the ego from taking that person into death or painful injury.
I do not want to take responsibility for killing myself, for committing suicide.. So I say: I didn't do it. I caught a disease. So and so had it. I couldn't stand to see him suffer alone. Misery loves company. But not that much. But that is what we do. When someone's eye is watering, so our eye starts watering. Someone else's nose running, so our running. I have a cold.
Suggestions! Most of this is guilt feelings that we carry with us that want to make us share someone else's pain. Consciously we do not want to share someone else's pain but our guilt feelings make us want to. Now if there is anyone sitting here who want to debate what I am saying. please speak up.
Question: How do you know what kind of guilt complex you have?
Yada: We seldom know. That is why it is necessary to have some kind of counselor to help, a man of the brain, the mind. A Doctor. He needs but to listen to you for a while and if he is alert and if he is creative and does not lean only on what his teachers have taught him or what the books says, he can tell what is wrong, where your guilt feelings are, your feelings of fear, what the origin is and how to get them up and out. Then it will show you - they are nothing. Nothing!
Audience. How far do they go back, from one lifetime to the next?
Yada: All right, we say ‘yes' to that. But we have to be careful
because there are some people who simply do not accept the thought of a former life. And this will be disturbing to them and create another trauma. (laughter) You see how touchy a human being is? You have to proceed very carefully. Do not frighten him or her, or he moves away and it will be difficult to get him back for a long time, until his fright cools of.
Audience: Are we speaking of a karmic condition?
Yada: Yes, of course, a karmic condition from a former lifetime. But do we not have enough trouble with this life? Do we have to go back into another and dig them out? I would say in part we do. But you see, your modern psychologists and psychiatrists do not want to play around with this. They seldom work with this, even if they did believe it. They only go back to childhood, the baby. Some also admit to what is called ‘birth trauma.' Everybody suffers birth trauma. Because why? We like where we are. We do not like to be disturbed. We formed a little ditch, we go down into it and we want to be left alone. It is conformable. Leave me alone.
But you see, life cannot leave you alone, This is the very nature of life, to pester you.
If life did not pester you, my friends, we would sit around and get fat and fatter and one day we would explode. We do not want to rust out, but wear out. Is much better. I do not ever ask the Gods to give me less problems. I ask them to give me more and more complex ones, because this makes my brain go faster and faster.
Give me interest in life. Give me life - doing. For what is life, but doing. Life does not ask what to do. It say - do!
Sounds big, huh?
Irene: Sounds like pig Latin.
Yada: Latin? Is not Latin. To me it is from India. Indian.
Irene: Sounds like Latin to me. It is a strange language.
Yada: Not like Latin, sounds like Greek. Everything we do not understand sounds like Greek. I do not know what Greek sounds like. Tat sat tat tas sat ohm. I Am That That I AM. It does not say ‘what'. It simply that. Why is this? Because no one can say what I am. You cannot say what you are, because there is no word for it. I am the reality. What is reality? Where is reality? Many people waiting to die to find reality. This is when they lose it, because they didn't get it here.
You have to really get it here.
What is reality? Reality is what you are doing at any moment.
This is your eternal heaven of truth. This is your now-ness. This is where reality is. Do not wait for it. Live it! Why not? You are now listening, my friends. You could not do anything greater than what you are doing right now. This is the way life is. Tomorrow is not even a shadow, not even a shadow. Yesterday, as you Americans would say, has had it. So forget it. Let it go. Love it and give it your blessings and then leave it alone.
Audience: What frequency do you have, Yada?
Yada: My friends, this is a very interesting question. Should I say a frequency of 50 billion vibrations. What would that mean? And to whom would it mean anything? How can you comprehend 50 billion of anything, especially vibrations.
Same Man: Only in relation to myself beyond my power to visualize.
Yada: Yes, my friend. We have to be careful what we do with words. What are words to us? I have to find words that make a picture somewhat similar to each and every mind sitting here. I can only hope that my words will do that. Because I know that each person taking the sound - you see - I do not speak words, I do not tell you anything. I make noises and you take these noises inside your head by the nerves and as you have been conditioned to understand what I say. This means that some of you are going away saying: Hm, this is the smartest man I ever met. The others will say: Not ever have I heard such stupidity in all my life.
Man: What is the difference between your consciousness and mine.
Yada: Sir, you are asking a very difficult question and I am grateful because they are providing to me that there is no way of answering your question with words. You see, you are asking the type of question where there are no words in the English language and certainly not in mine that could create a picture that could comprehend. This does not mean that you are incapable of reasoning my words. No. I simply means - that there are not words I can use. This is my stupidity, not yours.
Man: Well, I am sorry...
Yada: Please, my friend, not to be sorry, for it gives you and I room in which to learn more. Perhaps we will some day. Perhaps man will find words that he can convey his feelings with. We may convey to one another ourselves with words, but we cannot do this with our feelings. There are no words to convey feelings with one another. We try but we fall short.
The man who says ‘I love you', is very romantic and when we are young it is very exciting - we feel wanted. Whatever age, we feel wanted if we are told that we are loved. But how many of us truly grasp the meaning of these words ‘I love you.' Who do I love? Your body? Your mind? Then the question arises, do I have a mind? People have asked me: "Yada, what happens to the soul after death?" What soul? What do you mean by the word 'soul?' What is a spirit? Spirit means ‘breather', that is all. The breather, breath - spirit, My friends, we need to find more comprehensible words with sound.
Audience: Are dreams more comprehensible?
Yada: Yes. To the individual who is having the dream. Dreams are a very personal experience.
Dreams are created out of a feeling from an experience we may have had in life, maybe just yesterday or an hour ago.
In a moment I can be conscious. I am talking, looking, I am alive and the next moment I go to sleep and I am in a greater world. This world is created out of my feelings towards experience that I had while in a wakeful state.
Question: Is this an extension of our emotional state, our perception of understanding?
Yada: Yes. Is man satisfied to worry when he is awake? No. He likes to also worry in his sleep. He takes his problems to bed with him. Problems, my friends, are very cold bed partners. I leave them outside my bed. Go to bed and go to sleep. Once you lie down to sleep, complete rest. And the psychologists and mental doctors go hungry.
Question: Are you wandering around sometimes in your sleep?
Yada: Very often that which is called ‘the psyche' detaches itself from his awareness of his doll. You might call it ‘does not live in the body.' Not in. I said this one time to a group of people and there was a lady who said to me: Of course not, it would be very wet in there. It is wonderful how the mind works. There is nowhere but consciousness. That means you are vast beyond time and space as such.
This is why you - consciousness, as I said earlier, can seemingly split up, divide and go many places, gather information and come back. Coming back is simply becoming aware of the body-self again. This is why it is possible to do telepathy, clairvoyance, many things that the creator within and without is capable of doing. There is nothing supernatural and awesome about this, any of these beliefs in the supernatural. It is all natural because you are the creator.
So you go to sleep. You simply shift your awareness from body external to body consciousness internal in the greater mind. Now you need not go to sleep, you need not lose consciousness to what is called ‘travel' or extended state of awareness. You are not confined to your body. You can go anywhere you wish. If you believe in a place - go to that place. But you can stay awake while you are doing it. In consciousness you will find your dream external here - or internal in sleep, or otherwise, you will find it all real. That's what makes life real.
An act is real by the amount of consciousness you put into it - self-awareness.
Audience: Yada, you made the statement earlier that 99% of the illnesses or accidents are mental. Can you give us an example of those 1%?
Yada: (Laughing) Thank you very much for asking the question. It was bound to happen and it did. For the truth is - it is all mental. You may ask me: I caught this disease, a virus, or a bug bit me, or I took something called poison. Now if I take poison consciously ( we are not conscious until we train ourselves t0 be) we simply have our eyes open, and it looks like we are conscious.
It takes work to be awake.
So we take poison with the intent of killing our body. Now this does not look like an accident. This looks like something intentional. But let us see: Let us go back to that person's life. Let us watch them as they lived from the time of their childhood. What was the mother's and father's attitude while raising the child? What was the child's attitude towards the parents raising it? And little by little we will see that this person is frustrated and make uncomfortable since early childhood. Slowly, this goes what you call into the unconscious self. I do not like that word because there is no such thing as a conscious or unconscious or subconscious.
There is only one consciousness. But the mental activity is called the unconscious, conscious and so on.
Irene: You told us, Yada, that the awareness of things is a more appropriate word to use.
Yada: Yes, that is so. There is a part of the consciousness that operates the body. There is no awareness in the conscious self which is keeping the heart going, breathing, and keeping various organs functioning in their own way. This is called unconscious activity. Unaware. But these experiences that we have where our energies are involved, not just the mind.
Let us look at this simple thing. I start to get up. Now this takes energy. Yes, getting up takes energy. Energy must be generated by the body, so the muscles and tendons can get into action, energy. Now I start to get up and you say to me: "No, don't move! " So I sit for a while and pretty soon I try again and you again say ‘no'. But soon I say to you ‘ I must get up because I cannot sit still any longer. I got things to do. I must!' But if you keep frustrating me from getting up when I create the mental energy by saying ‘no', this means that the energy must go down again. I try again and again and soon the energies are frustrated. It cannot complete its action upon the body.
Soon there come what you call a shortening of energy in the nervous system. Just like you have in the electricity to make a machine go. You keep frustrating the energy and soon the energy is going to destroy the machine. This is what happens with the nervous system. The energy is backing up. Blocks are created along the back of the spine, tensions are created throughout the body. You get stiffness in the arms and legs. Soon the fingers cannot move because certain chemical condition take place due to nervous action upon the glandular system that prevents certain chemicals from being sent out into the body in the proper manner and you get what is called arthritis. The joints begin to swell and ache. The substance ‘calcium' settles in the joints. This is frustration.
Look at it, my friends. These organs do not malfunction for no reason at all. God don't wish this upon you. Like the man Job believed God was punishing him for some reason or another. How did he do this? Through his ignorance. By eating greasy filthy food and believed that God was doing it to him. He lived in filth and blamed God for all his ailments. His mind became filth. He poisoned himself.
The man getting into an accident, perhaps the first one is only an accident. He should be warned to stay awake, to come back to his body, that he is heading for a even bigger disaster.
My friends, we do not get into accidents when we are awake.
You may say: Oh, a man came in his car and I was on the road minding my own business, the car came from the other side and hit me and now I am dead. Or not dead but hurt. But this was not my fault. I am afraid - but it was.
Audience: Yada, would you please explain this. It sound foolish.
Yada: No, it does not.
Irene: May I say something> I am asking this because it involves two people. This man who is in the car is not consciously awake more than the individual who has put himself in that position to have this happening. I know what is meant. It is called ‘a proper place to be.' We have a place called a sidewalk for pedestrians. This is the place of the individual who is not in the car, so we are consciously aware of being on the sidewalk. Then a car comes around the corner, gets out of control and runs into the individual who seems to be where he belongs. That is what I am wondering about.
Yada: Very strange, huh? Surely it was an accident. It was something that ‘happened by chance.' All right. If you think so, good. But I say ‘no!' Because this person on the sidewalk was not born there at that moment. He is a being of experience. These experiences have created a variation of thoughts, of feelings. These thoughts and feelings, some of them have brought him to that particular place on the sidewalk and the car hit him. His thoughts brought him there. Now this does not mean that there is any guilt feelings or anything. But his thoughts have moved his body into that place. In his thought - he undid his whole life. Not a conscious thought.
Irene: We have this situation, Yada. A group of school children have been appointed by the teacher to go with her to experience a certain thing. Now they get into this bus under supervision of the individual and this person drives a car........
Yada: You are trying to make it complex for me. I understand what you mean.... and all these innocent little children with the innocent bus driver, who might feel guilty afterwards..... Just because we are adults does not mean that we have any more guilt feelings down into the unconscious self that the little baby. Have I made a statement that is understandable in answer to your question?
Man: Yes, you have.
Yada: Thank you very much. You see, my friends, it is foolish for us to come and listen to a talk and listen to another talk, if we are not going to make our conversation at least half way intelligent. Now let us go back to the children on the bus.
Irene: Yada, this has intrigued me a great deal for this reason. I have been wondering of all these people being put under the care of this driver. Who is being held responsible for the destination of this group? I like you to explain this.
Yada: This reminds me of a story of the man who says something to another man: "I have never been in a machine that flies." So the other man said: "OK, fly with me in my plane. There are other people in this plane also." But this man was afraid and said: "I am afraid I am going to die if I go up with that machine." And the man says: "Don't worry you are not going to die before your time." The man says: "That may be, but it may be someone else in the machine and it is their time to die." (laughter)
My friends, whatever you are doing, whenever you have a conversation with somebody else, never take yourself too serious that you cannot laugh. That is what life is made from - laughter of the Gods. laugh and you will feel much better. If you could laugh when you have a nightmare with the monsters chasing you, you would make the monsters very insecure. (laughter)
Destiny! We may be speaking of earthquakes causing big cities of people to die. What about personal destiny? There were undoubtabtly many people in the big city that were told by many oracles that they would die in a different way than that. Why did nature have to make such a fool out of the oracles? My friends, does it matter how one dies? What would you rather die from?
I lost my body in the temple in which I was at the time of the quake. The temple came down smashing me. But you cannot kill consciousness. Pretty soon I was awake again and knowing what I knew - you see I don't know more than you, but something different than you. That is all. I learned to take up my body, take up my body into myself, mental energy.
There is nothing else but mental energy.
When the brain creates a thought, there is a action called ‘neuron showers', showers of these energy particles. But what is a particle? They talk about the atom being particulate and this is not truly so. A particle is a uncutable piece. Now this is what the Greeks thought the body was, when they created the word ‘atom'. This is what they thought the body was. It is a body that cannot be divided into any more parts. But what you have found today is knowing better than this. They can be divided and divided and ever come to nothing, ever.
Because there is no such state as ‘nothing'.
It seems I have sidestepped the destiny of all the vast numbers of people who got killed in a quake. It is only a question of how you die, because there is only one dying. One death. No matter what you die from, you are still dead in the body not in mind or consciousness. No one has a cut and dried destiny. Who would cut and dry it for you? It is a lot of work doing this.
Irene: This is what the Inner Teachings of the harvest mean: Cutting and drying or seeding the Self.
Yada: Yes, only the Self can do it.
If you want a special destiny, start living consciously.
This is the beginning of working on your destiny. Know where you are going. You can do this by living consciously. Now we may lose our body, but that will not keep us from where ever we decide to go.
You see, reality does not lie in the dream itself. Reality lies in the creator of the dream. It is like the man, he became a puppeteer and to everyone it looked like the puppets are alive and doing a dance. But it is the puppeteer, the unseen, the behind the scene puppeteer that is making the doll dance.
What is the nature of the strings of the puppeteer? The emotions. The puppeteer, we are causing our doll to dance on the strings of our emotions. If you don't like this - you can stop it. When we live consciously, we are sincere in our thinking and acting and doing. Because why? Because all of our fears go - and we are not afraid that we are going to lose anything. We know we cannot lose for that which is rightfully mine - will be mine. Nothing can keep it from me. I may - physically speaking - go through horrible conditions, yet - that which is mine shall be mine and nothing can ever stop it.
More than this, if we live consciously now and go into what is called ‘the other state of awareness' which many fear by the name of ‘death', and I am conscious right into it and then find it necessary to return to earth to have another earth experience, I will come back consciously. And in the course of time as I come out of my babyhood, I will become more aware that I had an earth experience before.
I will know then how to live again. I will know!
Irene. I wanted to ask, Yada, when one learns how to take one's body with you the way you described this and you find a time that you want to be of service to mankind and you manifest a body, do you manifest a body as a child or as an adult?
Yada: You come as an adult to the position which you have to do, the place you have to do. You come and do the work and when the work is done, you simply withdraw the chemical composition that brought you together. This causes you to move back into the dimension you are existing in - which is one dimension. One dimension is difficult to comprehend. It has not - what you call - three dimensional character. It is like the word ‘time'. Time is not a dimension, not the way you understand dimension. Man can only understand ‘times,' not time.
That which is called Christ is time. Christ is clarity, crystal clear, no extra dimension to create illusion and limitations.
Man here suffers the illusion of limitations. It is like the one who builds walls or partitions 30 by 30 feet. Now when he first goes into the 30 by 30 foot state known to this consciousness, he does not feel so badly. But little by little he is not able to comprehend it. It loses substance for him. This makes him uncomfortable and unsafe - not to be able to touch anything. So he puts up walls and partitions, one here, one there, one the other way. Now he seems to be in a series of different places and he calls these different side of partitions different names. So he gets the illusion that he moves from one room to another, or to one side of the partition and that he arrives at a place where he has not been.
Irene: He plays games with himself.
Yada: Of course. Man is like a playman. He likes to play. He likes to make drama with his hands and looks the other way, so that when he looks again, he can dramatize his drama. Why does he do this? Why does he look away?
Because if he knew consciously that he is the creator of the drama or comedy, he could not shed tears or laugh. Who can laugh at their own jokes? Who can weep at their own sorrow they are not consciously aware they created. No one.
When I see a beloved pass out of my world I go into great sorrow. My friends, great sorrow will not bring that person back to my touch of the world. So why cry?
Because we have not been given the proper concept of life.
That is why. Now you might say: "What do you want me to be, a stone? Have you no feelings?" No, it is not what I want you to be. It is what you want to be is what I am interested in. Of course, it is natural that you are going to feel the loss, even though you know that this person has not died. They have simply shifted their state of awareness for a period of time and you and they will have awareness of one another again. Yet, you may know this and still feel the loss. But you will also feel it will not be necessary to go mad about it, to kill yourself over it, to grieve to death over.
You will know, in time you die and if you truly loved that person and they loved you - you will meet again. This will give you the courage to dry your tears and laugh and go on living your life until you stop doing and move to another space.
Irene: Into another room.
Yada: Yes. Into the other room. And the walls and partitions that you and I have built is called awareness.
Awareness is all that separates you from me and me from you.
Question: When we come back into this life, we don't recognize the people we have known in a previous life.
Yada: Some of us do, but not their names. We do not say: "You are so and so and it is nice to see you again 100 000 years ago when I fished in the pool." That we were little amebas does not make a difference, we still fished in that pool together. No, not like that. But we come to recognize one another in a strange and subtle way. We get, what you call a feeling. A feeling very sublet and we begin to feel a closeness and a oneness. This causes our physical aware mind to say: "I love you, my friends, I feel comfortable and happy in your company."
Irene: It seems I have known you always.
Yada: Yes, and we have known one another always, whatever that word means. For ‘always' we have known one another, because we are one. Yes, we are one, that is how we know one another. Think of that, my friends. If we could realize this, we would have no problems with life or personality conflicts. Many of us meet others where we say: "I can't stand you, you are giving me the creeps." This is also awareness of having this one known before.
Irene: Possibly we hurt them.
Yada: Yes and possibly they have hurt us. "You putting my fingers in the vices 2000 years ago, you rat!. This time I am going to put your fingers there.....I told you I am getting you sooner or later." Laughter) And we keep this feud going throughout all eternity until we wake up. Come a time and we will have to say: "I forgive you. Will you forgive me?" But if he says "NO", I will not forgive you", you say: "Good, then I will forgive myself."
My friends, if you do not first forgive yourself, how can you expect forgiveness from anyone else. It is of no use going to the priests and he says: "God forgive this man." And so God says to the priest: Tell him I forgive him." (Laughter) Now you don't know whether God said that to him or not. But if it makes you happy to believe it - believe it. So, now all right God has forgiven me. Am I forgiven? No! Not until I forgive myself can I accept forgiveness from God.
Irene: How does one recognize that one has truly forgiven oneself?
Yada: By stop feeling guilty for what he has done.
Irene: When you have no longer guilt feelings?
Yada: Yes. Is so. Look, my friends, we are born to do. That is life. That is the essence of life - to do. To act. We are bound, if I may use that expression, bound to make mistakes. All right. If I know this, then I consciously make an effort not to make too many mistakes. And when I find myself making some, when I consciously know this and accept the fact I have made a mistake, I did it, not God or my next door neighbor, but me. Then I forgive myself and try again. This time to avoid making at least that mistake.
A man said to me: "Yada, if I could remember my past life and I could remember my mistakes then I would not have to make them over again." Would you like to make some other mistakes, instead of the one's you made before?
Irene: Well, in reality that is the way one remembers their past life.
Yada: Is so. The bigness or littleness of it depends entirely upon your attitude and the attitude we made the mistake with or to. You may think it was a little mistake, but to the person you made it to again may think it is big. You will find out how big or how little by asking him to forgive you. How much courage has that person? How much understanding? How much emotional control? How much realization of his own being that he can say: I am sorry, my friend, I just did not understand. Please forgive me." If he says ‘no', then you have simply to forgive yourself and forget it.
Irene: And understand that he simply did not understand.
Yada: Let me ask you, my friends, suppose that one goes to some distant part of the world where you could not reach him. Suppose he died, then what? Then you have this guilt feeling ‘oh, what did I do?' It is not what you did, it is what you did not do forgive yourself. You must do this.
Question: How do we become aware of the job we are suppose to do here and why do we feel we are not doing the job we are suppose to do?
Yada: My friend, it is mostly - I think and this is my theory - I think it is because we have been given the concept that there is something more important that we should be doing than what we are doing. It is like the cow who looks at the other side of the pasture and it looks much greener than his own. So pretty soon he finds himself walking between two pasture of food, because he cannot make up his mind to come to a conscious conclusion that it makes no difference what you are doing. But how we are doing it, makes a difference.
How are you doing your actions? With joy? With a sense of relaxation?
No matter what your actions are, if you are robbing a bank, do it with joy. (Laughter). Why do I advise this? To you it seems ridiculous because it seems so incredible to be taking money when it is not yours - with joy. You had better do it with joy, because what you will be doing by stealing that which does not belong to you, you will pay in a painful way. That is what is called ‘the price.' Everything has a price tag on it. Is it worth it? And if you say ‘yes', it is worth, then do it. If you say ‘no' then don't do it and do not permit anyone to push you or change your mind.
Remember you are the creator and do not let other creators create your thoughts for you.
If you rob a bank, rob it with joy, because you are going to pay the price later. We live in a cause and effect world.
There were two men who were crucified between a man called Jesus. One of them turned to him and said: "Oh, great Master, I do not want to die. I am frightened. What is going to become of me?" He didn't think of that when he was a thief. He waited until he had to pay the price. The Master said to him, or so the holy book says: " Fear not for I say to you this day you shall be in paradise with me." Very interesting. Now my friends, he did not say this at all. The coma comes after ‘this day'. He is telling him this day, (coma) he did not take him to paradise on this day.
"Fear not for I say unto today, you shall be in paradise with me."
Because what is paradise but Christness, Christhood. Christ Consciousness. And he is making a truthful statement to the thief, this physically blind, unknowing being that when he wakes up - on that day, when he receives his Christhood - he will be in paradise or in full wisdom of what life is.
What is a thief? One who steals beautiful jewels and silver? No! A thief is one who is trying to steal happiness or a sense of balance or equilibrium with himself.
Irene: Give us a demonstration of what you mean by ‘stealing happiness.' How can we steal from others anything but material possessions?
Yada: They do not steal material possessions. They are only symbols of what we call happiness. As I have said earlier, those who are smoking tobacco in great quantity, or drinking alcohol, they are not drinking alcohol, they are not smoking tobacco, they are smoking and drinking frustrations and feelings of imbalance with their environment.
Audience: Amen.
Yada: My honorable friends, thank you but I wish to say something about your expression ‘Amen'. It is originating from the name of the man Amon-Ra. Today you have in your world a man who sacrificed his life, is called ‘Roger.' So when something is done in good balance, someone will say "Roger." You say at the end of a prayer, hoping that things will be all right in honor of Amon Ra, who brought to the world of physical man years ago the story of the One God. But he was driven out by the masses of people that were living in captivity and were like animals with no honor and respect of anything. Because they did not expect to live beyond the physical world - they did want what they wanted right now. They were not living in balance and this is what caused them to be destroyed sooner or later. They literally destroyed themselves and did not know it.
So the Great White Brotherhood knew that if these people go on with what they were doing, they would be completely destroyed. This must stop and so they sent Amon first and he was rejected. Amon sent six other teachers among the people and one of them was Moses. Moses the great Egyptian member of the Great White Brotherhood. But this is a long story and I cannot go into details. It is getting late.
Irene: Yes, Yada, many people live quite a distance. You have been talking over two hours. It doesn't seem like but it is.
Yada: seems to have difficulty breathing and continues: You see, my friends, what we do sometimes out of balance (Mark) is a heavy smoker, we do not only attack ourselves, we attack others. This man (Mark) smokes and I cannot control his body, because the tobacco makes trouble in the respiratory system and it looks like I have to cough and I get pointed out as a spook who coughs.
You see how the bullet hits an innocent bystander? But we do not want to criticize him. We have a great deal of love for him, even though he is doubting very much who we are and what we are.
Irene: Yes, he is. But he also loves you.
Yada: Yes, it is a strange situation. To love what which we do not quite understand takes a little doing.
Irene: He has much frustration because he smokes too much.
Yada: Yes, he does. I do not know, my friends, that it is intelligent to criticize anyone for what they do. Let us dig into that personality, to the every day living and ask: What started this condition? Let us get at that. This is important. There are many people who are frustrated for the most normal things, things that are natural to the human body. This is why they resort to unnatural things to fill the place.
You cannot take something and leave a hole or nothing there. You have to - when you take - put something back. The physical law of what is called ‘conservation of energy should demonstrate this to us quite adequately
You cannot take and not give.
If you feel you have a habit that seems to be getting out of control and you cannot handle the situation, do not let it make you feel guilty.
If you truly want to know what it is, the basis of it, go to somebody you can trust. Even though you may not know that person, if he is able to help you - he is your friend.
We, of the Circle, extend our love and appreciation and we extend our light, the light of creation, wisdom and understanding, so you can extend it to one another.
It is my honor. A notchi.
If you want a special destiny
start living consciously.
